Ten months ago back in February I posted an update on the project, where everything sat, and then announced that the website would be given an overhaul. About mine months ago in March the redesigned website launched. My expectation after that was that I’d be able to finish phase 2 this year and really start on the last and final phase, phase 3. … And then life happened, and what occurred turned the rest of my year on its head. All my project work was (and has largely been) put on hold until further notice. So, what happened? I started feeling not-so-great earlier in the year, then after a couple of visits to the doctor and tests were done I was given a diagnosis in July that has altered my year and life. I have cancer. I’m not going to go into details here, however all I’ll say is that it’s an aggressive, rare form of cancer and I am in treatment for it. I’m still finding some time to work on the project, but that time is few and far between; when I have the energy and am not busy with appointments, work, and life in general. I don’t know when I’ll be resuming regular work on the project, but I do know it’ll be after I’m no longer dealing with this ‘surprise’ to the degree I am right now. Right now, life (and my health) comes first.
